Back to work Wednesday

After having 5 days off from work I am finding it hard to get back in the groove of things. It doesn't help that it is cold and rainy out today either. The thing that is keeping me going is I have exactly 44 days until my next 5 days off. I think I can make it.

We didn't do much yesterday at all. My husband had promised to spend the day with me; however, he spent most of the day playing a football game on his PC. I read some of my new book, Promise, Texas by Debbie Macomber. I really like it alot. Promise, Texas is a fictional place but somewhere I would absolutely love to live. Late in the afternoon we went and had lunch at Mr. Goodcents and went to the grocery store.

I had waited all day long for Kayk to get home from school in order to make up some cinnamon butter cookie dough so that she could help me. I got the ingredients out and asked her if she wanted to help but she declined because she doesn't really like cinnamon. You gotta love teenagers! The dough is chilling in the refrigerator and I will make them tonight after dinner.

Energy called us last night to tell us he made the "A" football team. Coach was on cloud 9. We are going to take the kids out to dinner tonight to celebrate. Way to go, Energy, we knew your hard work would pay off!!!

Over the weekend I found me a fu-fu apron on ebay that I bought. It has to come from Canada so it may take while to get here. I am so excited about it. Now I am going to start hitting the antique stores because I want to replace my current dishes with mismatched china.

I ended out my night but signing coach up for a subscription on husbandhero.com. It is a website that sends husbands a monthly email of a romantic tip or two. He must have checked his email and seen it because he asked me about it as soon as I got to work. He told me he appreciated the subscription and that he is capable of being romantic and will show me he can be. I figured if he is romantic at least once in the next year it was worth the $12 subscription fee.
