Off and running (or falling in some cases)

This morning we woke up early in celebration of K's first day of school. She chose a black Tinkerbell tshirt and capri pants to wear. I straightened her hair and made her scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast. Koko, who normally will not budge from the couch in the mornings, joined us in the kitchen hoping to have some scrambled eggs herself. Woof! Woof!

K's cell phone was going off like mad this morning as her friends were texting to find out what each other was wearing and who was already at the bus stops. Oh! To be 13 again and those types of things to be your biggest worries.

Each year I take a traditional picture of K walking down the street. I was getting ready to take that picture when K thought she heard the bus and took off running. She apparently tripped over her feet and fell to the ground. I was lucky enough to catch the fall in action. You can't see it very well in the attachment but trust me her buns are about to meet the ground. God love her!

Last but not least K captured this picture of a strange looking furry monster that was on our couch last night. I think we are going to have to go out and buy some special repellent to get rid of it.
