Exactly 13 years ago today I was admitted to the hospital to have a scheduled c-section in order to bring my daughter into this world. I remember it like it was yesterday. I had to have a Cesarean because my daughter was breach. My OBGYN had a baby 8 months before I did and her baby was breach too. She opted to have her baby turned while still in the womb. When the time came where I could make the decision of having my baby turned or not my doctor told me that it was painful and my stomach would be bruised so I gladly opted out of it. While I feel like I missed out on some of the birthing experience I had always said if I ever had another baby I would have another Cesarean. However, that would never be an issue because I never had another baby.
I have enjoyed mothering K these past 13 years and look forward to a new chapter in our lives as she hits her teenage years. (Ok...enjoying those teenage years may be tough but I am still super duper blessed to be her momma.) I couldn't imagine life without her.
K spent the weekend in Branson with her dad for her birthday. She had always wanted to go to Branson and I am so thankful her dad took her there. I cannot stand Branson. It is waaaaay too crowded. I thank God for my answered prayers for getting them there and back safely.
I was put on a prayer chain a little over a year ago for a little boy who needed a liver transplant. Since then I have been made aware of several children who are very sick and sadly some of these children have even passed away. I had never realized how many people have such sick children. Those of us that have healthy children may not realize how blessed we are. I still visit several websites a day to pray and get updates on children who are still battling their diseases or to pray for those that have lost their children. After hearing all of these stories I gladly became an organ donor. I know God does not need my organs in Heaven and if in my death my organs could save a life I will gladly pass them on. So today's message in celebration of my baby's birthday I want to spread the word of organ donation. By clicking on the below link you can learn all you need to know about being an organ donor and if you decide you want to be an organ donor you can sign up there too!

BTW...the little boy I was praying for who had to have a liver transplant ended up having to have 2 of them at the age of 3!!!! He is doing well today. There is another little boy who is on the list to receive a new liver - please keep him in prayer.
Have a blessed day!
