Our weekend

Our vacation has officially began. We didn't have anything "special" planned for today so we kind of took it easy around the house. K made a "Welcome Home" poster for my nieces from their dog when they return from vacation tomorrow. We played the game Apples to Apples tonight (thanks for the recommendation, Kel!) It was fun but our kids were wired so it was equally frustrating having to say..."don't do that, stop, don't call her names, be careful don't spill your drink, etc." And this to our kids that ages 11-13! You would have thought we were playing the game with 4 year olds.

I got my hair highlighted yesterday but I can't seem to see the highlights. I will ask my sister her opinion when she gets back into town to see what she thinks of it. I was afraid of going too light so it was probably my fault in choosing a too conservative color. Even if you can't see them having the color in my hair gives my hair more body which I am in great need of.

We had a wonderful time on the 4th of July at Kelly and Bryan's house. We had way too much delicious food, saw great fireworks, and had terrific conversation. Very enjoyable!

On Saturday the time got away from us as we had many last minute errands to run to prepare for vacation. I left the house at 9:30AM to go to the hair salon and swang by the house to pick up my hubby afterwards and we did not return to the house until midnight! (yup....the 24 hour Walmart was our last stop....in fact we had been there twice in one day!) I had not got a chance to clean the house yet so I ended up being up until a quarter to 4 AM! My hubby let me sleep in this morning in which I did not get up until a quarter til noon.
